where are we?
You are in the Outer Rim, a virtual event space and online underground music radio station where exploration meets experimentation.
We host live and recorded DJ mixes, featured as regular programming and special events, and aim to take you on a journey through the full spectrum of techno music and into the outer reaches of the electronic music universe.
We’re thrilled to bring together some of the best underground DJs from around the galaxy to share their unique sounds and perspectives with our global audience.’

Who runs this place?
The Outer Rim radio station and community are operated as a not-for-profit collective managed and curated by DJs and Label Owners from around the world.
The name and infrastructure are owned and maintained by Fable Factory and Mobius Theory.
Is it only techno?
Mostly techno. We like to showcase the full spectrum of all that techno can be, and that includes experimental, ambient, minimal, and hybrid sets. Some sets might include elements of house. More importantly, all DJs and music on the Outer Rim remain underground.
how can i join?
If you’re a DJ who loves pushing the boundaries of electronic music, we want to hear from you! We’re seeking DJs who specialize in underground techno, ambient, and house music. Our goal is to showcase a diverse range of sounds and perspectives that represent the global electronic music community.
To submit your mix, please join our DISCORD SERVER and follow the instructions there. We ask that your mix be at least 30 minutes long and include a tracklist. We’ll be listening closely to the creativity, technical skills, and overall vibe of your mix to see if it’s a good fit for our station.
what's the audio quality?
The radio stream is 320 kbps, babycakes.
Is there an app?
Not really. Apps are very expensive and we’re an underground station. We spend our money on records and not apps.

This is a basic radio directory site that has their own apps for several devices.
